Cooking Classes

We believe that the only way to learn to cook is to roll up your sleeves and do it yourself.
While our chefs will demonstrate the techniques, be prepared to put what you have seen into practice. The lessons are informal and even the “culinarily challenged” can produce wonderful dishes with help from our chef.

Our classes are held just outside Florence in the medieval town of Figline Valdarno with an English speaking instructor who also happens to be one of the areas top Chefs. The menu is never set and our chef will assist you in choosing recipes that caters to your tastes and what is in season at the time.

For two people, the class will be held at the kitchen of our chef’s restaurant, with your meal to follow in the restaurant; for four or more, you will have the class in his large instructional kitchen at his B&B farmhouse property just a short distance from the restaurant.

At the farmhouse, prior to the class, you will have the opportunity to walk his fruit and vegetable garden see and pick some items to use in the class. After the lesson, your meal is served either in the dining room, or, if weather permits, on the outdoor terrace or around the swimming pool.

All classes last for around three hours and are followed by a meal (lunch or dinner) with wine. The class at the farmhouse includes roundtrip transfers from the main square of Figline, 2 blocks from the train station.


Prices
150 Euro per person - Cooking class held in either Restaurant (2 people) or at the farmhouse (4 or more)

Available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings and Friday and Saturday mornings.


* Transportation to and From Figline is available for an additional fee


It is also possible to bring along a non-participating partner who can spend the day enjoying the surroundings, and could then join the group when it is time to eat.
